Eclipse
Characters, objects and one visual universe.
Characters, objects and one visual universe.
Eclipse brings together the character design of Marie, Lucille and Sylvie, the amulet concept and the project’s key art. Portraits, costumes, expressions and visual references build a recognizable world, from its cast to its symbols.
Art direction
Contrasts in material, silhouette, light and color distinguish the characters. The amulet connects them through a shared visual grammar: its luminous state suggests changes and tensions within the story.
The process
Development moves from portraits to turnarounds, expression studies and visual bibles. AI exploration, selection and artistic review preserve readable faces, proportions, costumes and objects across different images.
Design & key art
The poster and emblem introduce Eclipse. Symbols, visual hierarchy and the contrast between light and shadow establish the project’s tone before the individual character studies.
Characters — Marie
Face, braids and proportions anchor the design. Everyday clothes and a school uniform change the context without changing the person. Portraits, expression sheets and turnarounds test the continuity of her identity.
Characters — Lucille
Lucille is explored through face, gesture, costume and transformation. Braids, headdress and light-colored clothes offer different readings of presence and role. Multiple views keep the character readable as the camera angle changes.
Characters — Sylvie
Silhouette, hairstyle and layered costume build Sylvie’s presence. The full figure and turnaround reveal proportions, volume and details from several viewpoints.
World, symbols & props
The amulet also tells the story of Eclipse’s world. A visual bible and lighting variations define its material, form and narrative states. The atmospheric study connects the prop to the world suggested by the key art, keeping the object part of the story.

Eclipse — Marie
One identity. Different worlds.
One identity. Different worlds.
Marie moves between city life, school and the world of Eclipse. Character design establishes a recognizable identity across costume, pose, expression and framing.
Art direction
Face, braids, proportions and silhouette become visual anchors. Costume changes describe the context without changing the person inside it.
The process
Body and head turnarounds, expression sheets and character bibles make every choice comparable. AI explores; drawing and review hold the character together.

Eclipse — Lucille
One character, many shades.
One character, many shades.
Lucille’s development explores identity, expression and costume, from an everyday figure to the presence of the priestess. The project seeks coherence that reads in every version.
Art direction
Light materials, braids, headdress and silhouette build the visual language. Costume tells us about role, presence and transformation.
The process
Close studies, turnarounds and expression sheets test the design. AI references are selected and corrected to align structure, face and costume.

Eclipse — The world
Objects have stories, too.
Objects have stories, too.
The Eclipse amulet is a narrative element before it is decoration. Studies define shape, materials and visual states, from dormant to full intensity.
Art direction
Light becomes a grammar: it changes with the object’s state and hints at the story. The design needs to work in close-up and as part of a character.
The process
Variations, reference sheets and key art connect prop design with the broader world. Sylvie’s studies extend this universe into its cast.
